Jason's New Ride!

We have been a one car family for almost two years. I had a Nissan Sentra that I drove all through college that was starting to break down and was leaking oil like a faucet. We took it to Carmax in November of 2007. We had just moved to our new house and we thought that it would be easy enough for me to drive Jason to work for awhile until we could get something more reliable. That was the plan and then in September 2008 he was transferred to Bountiful. His pay was also cut a bit so we put off buying a car then and instead he has been taking Trax and Frontrunner to work. Walking or riding his bike for about 2miles to and from work to the station and then home from the station. We live really close to Trax and this has worked out okay, but it began to take its toll. Jason was getting up and leaving by 7am and not getting home until 630pm. He took the car whenever he could, but more often then not he was taking the train.

Jason's parents were out of town for two weeks at the beginning of the month and they were kind enough to let Jason borrow their car while they were gone. We were so spoiled that we finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a new car. We found one for a great deal and just got it today. It's nothing fancy, but it is pretty cute. Jason is so excited!! He was almost like a 16 year-old getting his first car for the first time. I am a little giddy as well as I will see him a lot more. Props to my hubby for dealing with a heck of a commute when we probably could have done this earlier. I love him.
