Jr. Prom!

I love my little brother!! Doesn't he just make your heart go pitter patter! Last night was his Jr Prom and I just can't believe that he is so grown up. I was 8 when he was born, so I remember a lot of his childhood and I couldn't ask for a more fun or cute brother! He is such a stud and such a good guy. I am so proud of him!! He's such a cutie! He had a good time at prom and was part of the Jr Prom royalty. I can't believe that the last of the Hunts has seen Jr Prom come and go. We are all growing up!! PS: Why is he so tan and I am so white?? :)

YAY for Summer Food!

You wouldn't know it by the weather we have been having, but spring is in the air... and I can tell by the food we are eating! I love the summer time food options. Fruit salad, corn on the cob, barbeques, fresh garden veggies! Yum... couldn't get any better then that. We introduced Jack to corn on the cob this week and he LOVED it!! Too bad it has no nutritional value for a person of his size. It still tastes so good!

More Marathon Pics!

Thanks to Jason's dad Brad for these pics!!

Marathon Weekend!

We survived!! That's right. Our marathon weekend is over. We had a great time. It started on Friday when we had to go down to the Salt Palace to pick up our race packets. I thought it would be fun to take Jack on the train, since he LOVES it and go down there and then end the night with a trip to the Spaghetti Factory for our carbo load. Jack loved the train and also had fun walking around downtown and seeing all of the sights. We went and saw his Grandpa Wiggins and then headed to the Salt Palace to get our packets. This race was so well organized and everything get flowed really well. We got our packets pretty fast, walked aroung the expo that they had and then we headed home on the train. We went to dinner and had some good food and then went home to get Jack ready for his night at Grandma and Grandpa Hunt's house. He had a great time. My dad took him on the tramp to see the moon and stars and then he slept like a rock all night. It was perfect!
Jason and I went home and got our Ipods ready for the big day. We went to sleep early and woke up at 5 to get downtown. The race started at the Legacy Bridge at the U and ended at the Gateway. Everything was pretty seamless and we only had to wait about 20 min for the race to start once we got there. The weather was perfect, except for the wind, and it was a beautiful morning. There were tons of runners, about 13K, and it was just great to see so many people coming out to do such a great thing.
We started off and the first 7 or so miles pasted by pretty quick. I lost Jason at the first so I was alone but for my Ipod. It was about mile 9 that I was pretty happy that I wasn't running the full marathon. I had seen them break off a few miles back and felt pretty bad for all of them. I would still like to do it someday though. Anyway, I hit a few walls, but as I was coming down the last half mile I saw my dad, mom and Jack waving to me from the sidelines. That really helped to push me the rest of the way. The finish was amazing, with tons of people cheering us on!! It felt great to be a part of it. I reached my goal of finishing in 1hr 52 min, and walked through to the end, saw Brad, and then turned around to watch Jason cross the finish. He came in at about 2hr 25min which was about 7 min faster then his last marathon, so a great improvement!!
Unfortunately, we forgot our camera, but we took a few pictures when we got home to remember the occasion. We are sore and tired today, but feel pretty good!! Jason needs new shoes. His foot is bugging him and is walking around like an old man! :) We are happy to have done it and can't wait until the next one!

Going Private!

Well, after some consideration and some interesting comments on our blog, Jason and I have decided to go private. I know that this will be a pain for some of you to see what is going on with us, but we feel like it will be the best way to keep our cute family safe from unwanted eyes. Please email me at ewiggins01@gmail.com and I will make sure that you will be able to see our blog in the future. We will be going private in about a week so that should leave time for everyone to get in touch with me. Thanks to all!

WOO HOO!!!

The first female Biggest Loser has been crowned!! Ali did it and she looks fantastic!! It was a great show tonight and almost brought me to tears on several occasions! I am uplifted and happy when I see how far all of those people came! Also, congrats to Bernie!!! He deserved that $100K more then anyone!! YAY!

I'm Ticked!

Ticked beyond belief at this crazy Utah weather!! As I am sitting here, snow is falling on the the 15th of April. I shouldn't be surprised... It is Utah afterall, but this winter has been more miserable then most. So, I will think about days that were sunny and beautiful and I could actually take Jack outside to play. He loves the park! We go whenever we can and he has mastered going down the slide by himself. He is still scared of the tunnel slides. He knows that he goes "Up the stairs and down the slide." He has tried to get past me on that one, by darting up the slide as fast as he can. But that doesn't work out so he agrees that Mommy's way is better. I am looking forward to the sunny days ahead, if that EVER happens, and many more days at the park!

Scary Balloons!

Awhile ago, I bought a big pack of balloons to use to help Jack learn his colors. We have not blown one up for awhile so the other day I decided to break them open and do. Jack was terrified when I started blowing up the balloon (as you can see in the first picture). It was so funny and sad at the same time to see this sweet boy so scared. Now, when you mention blowing up balloons, he heads for the hills. He is happy with the final product however.

Biggest Loser and Ankle Update!

The girls on the Biggest Loser are kicking some serious butt!! We have FINALLY sent two of the ridiculous "pride brothers" home from the ranch. I was sorry to see Dan go, because although he is arrogant to an extreme, he was pretty funny and as we can all see the glue that held those boys together. He was gone two seconds before the rat Mark was sweet talking the girls to get rid of Roger. But Roger wiggled past in the weigh in, losing 2 pounds. Both the bawl babies (Mark and Jay) gained a pound and Jay was sent packing. Seriously, you would think that those two were being sent to the electric chair or something with the way that they carry on!
Ali has lost the most weight for the majority of the time that she has been back on the show and I think she has a chance to take it all the way! You go girl... can't wait for the finale! I think about gaining 100lbs at times just for a chance to go on that show.
Also, update on the ankle. I have been running on it this week and although it feels a little tight, it is no longer swollen and doesn't hurt when I run. I ran 5 miles yesterday, 4 on Monday and 6 the Saturday before and it felt great! I don't realize how much I love running until I can't do it anymore. Here's to hoping that the 13.1 miles I am going to log on April 19th doesn't do any harm! Wish me luck!

Funny Story

Last Monday, Jack and I were going to pick up Jason from work. With only one car at the moment, it is a fun duty that Jack and I get to do on a daily basis. Anyway, my sister in law, Shannon, works in the building next to Jason. After we had picked him up, we saw Shannon a few cars ahead of us in the line at the light. She made it through the light before us but we ended up seeing her again at the light to get on the freeway. As we passed her, I honked the horn and told Jack that we were passing Aunt Shannon and to wave at her. Obviously, he did not see Shannon, but he had fun with the game saying... "Shannon... Josh and Shannon, Shannon and Josh, HI, BYE!" You get the idea.

On Wednesday, Jack and I had just dropped Jason off at work and were heading to the gym when some fool cut me off in traffic. I have gotten pretty good about not swearing when that happens since Jack is in the car most of the time, but I still honked my horn at her as I swerved into the next lane. As soon as I was done honking, Jack cried out... "Hi Shannon and Josh, HI!"

Isn't that so cute?! Jack now thinks that honking the horn means his aunt is nearby and the best part is, Jack had no idea that his mommy has a serious case of road rage!! :)
