Shaving and Bite Marks

Well, the boy has some more battle wounds. First off, my parents have a big tub in their house, and their razors are on the edge of it. Every time we are in there, Jack goes for the razor and I have to take it away. I didn't think that he knew what it even was, but yesterday we went over there and I lost him for a few minutes. I went upstairs, checked every where for him and finally found him hiding in my parents room. He had the razor with him on the floor. I took it away, and brought him downstairs. Only then did I notice that his face was covered in blood! So scary! As you see he had tried to shave and got his first shaving cut in the process. He didn't act bothered at all and never shed a tear. I was okay once the bleeding stopped. Now I think it is funny. When I told Jason about it I mentioned how I didn't think he even knew what a razor was and Jason said that he has shown him how to do it in the shower. Great. I'll have to keep those out of reach in the future!
Also he was bit at the gym again today.... I think I may have to talk to them about getting whoever is doing the biting removed. But... he didn't seem too upset about and luckily it didn't break the skin like the other one did. It looks like he got kissed by me! Poor boy! I have cuddled him lots today!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! I am excited for this Vday because Jack is kind of catching on to things happening and so I had fun buying him some little trinkets and setting them out last night so that when he came down for breakfast he was greeted with balloons, flowers and a few toys. He loved it all! We then went to the gym and he got some candy there from the daycare workers.
We have a low key evening planned and I am excited! We are eating CAFE RIO, watching LOST, and indulging in SUGAR COOKIES and ECLAIRS! Three of my favorite things and I get to hang out with my two valentines. I love my boys!! Hope everyones day is great!

Sticker Face

Jack loves stickers and he knows about them because he gets one everyday at the gym. Awhile ago, I got him a sticker book but he hasn't seen it for awhile because it was under a bunch of stuff on the counter. He saw it today and said, "STICKER!" So I gave him a few, thinking he would put them on his shirt like he does at the gym... but he started sticking them all over his face. He is such a silly kid and has such a personality! I just had to share.

We had to give Kaya a bath last night. Here is the story... We took Kaya to my parents house for dinner since my brother hasn't met her yet and my dad loves big dogs like her. Everything was great and she was really well behaved (except for the one incident when Roxy, my parents dog, tried to take her bone and Kaya about ate her), and she enjoyed getting free food from everyone there. At the end of the afternoon, we were getting ready to head to Jason's parents house. We didn't want to bring Kaya since she had had a long day and Cindy and Brad have wild dogs. Anyway, we loaded her up in the car and brought her back home. Jack and I waited in the car while Jason ran her to the backyard. He came back and we left. A couple of hours later we arrive back at home and there is a big dark lump sitting on our front porch. I thought it was some sort of package... but then it moved. Sure enough it was Kaya, who had dug her way out of the yard! She didn't even look like our dog because she was so dirty. We figure that she wanted to come with us and when she saw that we weren't there she curled up and patiently awaited our return. I think she is too smart for her own good! Jason put a door in the way to prevent this from happening again... but it was pretty crazy! The bath was a success and she is much cleaner now.

Tie Time!

I just had to post this picture of Jack. He loves to wear his tie like his daddy. Today he woke up from his nap and saw his tie hanging on his dresser and he said, "TIE TIE!" I tried to distract him from it, but all he wanted to do was wear his tie. So, what is a mom to do? :) Doesn't he look cute?! He is growing up so fast. It is crazy that he is 19 months old. He has millions of words, he loves his doggie, being rocked by mom, his "B" (blanket) and playing with the kids at the gym. I just love watching him turn into this little person! He is the coolest!

Update and a New Addition!

Well, I figured that I hadn't posted in awhile, and haven't posted pictures in a really long time so here is an update from us. First and most exciting, is that we have added an addition to the family. We adopted a dog this week. She is a beautiful 5 year old huksy named Kaya. We have been thinking about getting a dog for awhile, because Jack has been trying to talk to the kitty and play with her... and well, our kitty is just not very interactive. We found Kaya on ksl.com and got her from a college student who couldn't really give her the time she needed. She is a great dog, never barks... but makes this weird howl. She sleeps outside, unless we feel bad for her and Jack just loves her! He calls her "kia" and wants to be with her all the time. Our kitty is less pleased and spends a lot of time in our room to stay away from her. Hopefully they can get used to each other soon.
In other news, Jack has found a love of popcorn, which he calls "pop pop". He makes me make it for him everyday after we get home from the gym. I am posting pictures of this so that all parents know... do NOT introduce popcorn unless you want a big mess!
I have signed up to do the Wastach Back Relay in June. It is a 100 mile run from Logan to Park City. Not to worry... I will not be running all 100 miles on my own. I am in a team of 12 (friends from the gym) and each of us will run 3 legs of the race. I am excited and trying to hold onto that feeling for as long as I can since I know I will be cursing myself and sore muscles after the race. Jason is training for the triatholon in July and having fun with that. Sometimes I think we are crazy! :)
Nothing else to really report! Hope everyone is well!
