Savannah-- 4 YEARS!

Savannah turned four in January.  She is such a good little buddy for me and for Evelyn.  She is a great big sister and really has a tender heart. She is very shy, and hates for anyone to correct anything she does.  She loves to get things just right and often will not try something until she is sure she has it down.  Her dance teacher said that she is very precise in her moves and tries her best to do everything she says.  I think she is like that in preschool too.  I have really loved having the days to spend with her while Jack is at school and she is a trooper to come to everything of his and support him.  She loves him too and they love to watch TV together.  She also tries to do anything he is doing and loves to play.  She has a few really cute friends and she loves to play with them.  She is getting so grown up and wants me to drop her off at friends houses and really prove her independence with walking to friends houses with Jack instead of me and dressing herself. She is a girly girl and loves to get dressed up and play with babies, but also seems to get along with the boys just as well too.  I think she will be pretty well rounded.  She has not been jealous of Evelyn at all and is a huge help with her.  She loves helping me cook and doing any kind of chore with me.  We go to the gym and park and play with friends and still nap together.  I love this four year old!!

For her party we had Cinderella come for her first friend party and she did really well with her and enjoyed it a lot.  She wants to have a different princess come next year.  I'm so proud of her and love being her mom!

Disneyland 2014

Christmas seemed a little more low key this year because Jason and I had a surprise for the kids... we decided to go to Disneyland in January.  We planned it back in November, but didn't spill the beans until the day we left.  It was super fun and something every parent should do.  The night before we left, Jason and I packed up the car and all the suitcases and everything.  The day we left, we sent Jack to school as normal and he really had no idea! We were able to use some points on our credit card to fly us all down there for free, so that was an extra bonus! We loaded up the girls and told them that we were going to the doctor and went to pick up Jack from school.  I convinced him that we were going to the doctor also and when he got in the car we had to tell him because we were really going to pick up Kristin and she was driving us to the airport.  So he got in the car and I pulled out my phone to take a video and we told them where we were really going.  Savannah didn't really get it, but Jack totally did and when he looked in the back and saw the suitcases, he actually got teary eyed.  It was the cutest thing ever and totally worth the wait! They were also really excited to find out that we were going on the airplane! We flew down and stayed almost a week.  Did Disney three days and hit the beach.  The weather was great and the lines weren't too bad.   We definitely had a great time!

 Waiting for the airplane!

 First stop the Beach!
A money saving thing we do... bring lunch into the park.

She did really great until the last day and then she was kind of fussy, but still pretty good.

Sign of a good trip when they all fall asleep returning the rental car!
The way our tickets worked out, Jason flew home with the two older kids and I took Evelyn with me on a later flight.  She hated it!!! I was happy it was only 2 hours! She was literally rolling around under the seat in front of me.  Would not sleep, would not eat.  Ugh, what a nightmare! But the trip was a blast! There is not much I love more than traveling with my family!

Christmas 2013

It seems fitting that I am posting about Christmas on June 17th, right? I wish I were better at this blogging thing, but alas it seems that with all the kids comes no time to do anything that you used to do and that includes the gym! Never thought  I would see a day when I was fine with only working out 4 times a week instead of 6.  But here I am.  I am truly engrossed in motherhood and loving it! But, Christmas.  I can't really remember Christmas much since it has been six months, but I do remember that we had a good season and we accomplished a lot of fun things and brought the spirit of the season into our home.  That's the most important thing.  Maybe pictures will jog my memory!
A night out in the Dell  Taco play land.

Savannah had her first dance recital and did such a good job.  She has been loving dance with her Grandma!
Jack played indoor soccer and it was so fun to watch! Really fast paced.  He has gotten so good at soccer!

We helped out some neighbors with shoving while they were in Costa Rica.
This lady and I met Jason downtown for lunch one day
She is so busy!! Into everything! But super cute!
 Dance recital with Addie.

Savannah really started dressing herself about this time and she came up with some clever outfits! I love this age.
I love this age too! So fun as they get more independent and silly!
All these grandkids love this grandpa.

We did our typical downtown outing to see the lights.  It was jam packed and hard to eat in the food court at City Creek, but we still had a fun time.
Christmas Eve at Great Harvest.  We decided to get fancy bread for Christmas morning.

A new tradition of sledding on Christmas Eve was started and was super fun until Savannah fell down on the ice and banged her face all up.  Good thing it wasn't anything a slurpee couldn't fix!

 Christmas morning!

She wasn't a fan of the tunnel until later.

New Years Eve! We had fun at IN and OUT and then to a friends house to ring it in.  We were super blessed in 2013, as we are every year.  It is truly a blessing to have this healthy family and for all of us to be on the same page and working together to make our family the best it can be!
