LAGOON!

Jack's first ride.

I really thought he fell out of this ladybug... scared me to death.

Who doesn't have a picture of themselves on these boats?

Family Fun.

Oh for the days when I went to Lagoon a couple times a summer. Our first "outing" (mine and Jason's) was at Lagoon. I remember it vividly. Trying to work it so that you could cuddle during the ride... standing in line and talking... oh, the romance. And even before Jason... going with friends to meet boys... laughing so hard in that ride that you can spin and spin and spin... 9th grade Lagoon day... Let's just say... when we went back for the first time in about EIGHT years last week, those are all the memories that came flooding in. :) I love Lagoon and I forgot how fun it is!!

We went for Stake Lagoon day. We weren't going to go, but a lot of our neighbors were going and we could get in for basically free so we decided to go and see how Jack did. We are sooo happy that we went!

Jack and I picked Jason up from work and got to Lagoon around 530. We ran into some neighbors in the parking lot so we hung around with them for the night. The stake had given us coupons to a bunch of different rides to go on for free so we thought we would just stick to those. We hit the Merry go round and the train. Dined on Subway and then thought.... let's just see if how Jack and Mason do on one ride... They loooved it. Jack's smile was so big! So... we decided to let Jack go on as many rides as we could and he LOOOOOVED it!! I didn't think that he would have that much fun. It was such a joy to watch him discover all the rides and get so excited to go on something new. He went on every little kid ride they had (for two year olds). After the fun, we called it a night at about 900. We went and got ice cream and Jack ran through the fountain and got completely soaked. Out of all my memories of Lagoon.... this one tops the list.

Sneakers Attack... Wasatch Your Back...

He was running....

We were doing this...

Jason ran the Wasatch Back this year. I ran it last year, so this year was my turn on kiddie patrol. He ran with the same team as I did and I think he had a good time. They had a lot cooler weather this year and that was nice, but they finished in the rain so that was not fun. He ran about 15 miles total and his team finished in about 29 hours. They are already planning for next year, and I think it will be my turn! I'm glad that Jason got to run it though. It is a wonderful thing to do and I hope to do it together soon!

In the meantime, I went to Youth Conference and that was really fun. My girls are so fun and there were some really powerful moments. I miss being a young woman (not that I'm not...) for the spiritual summers! I'm happy that I get to be a part of everything this year. Jack spent a lot of time at my moms, but we did manage to squeeze in a movie night.

Goodbye June...

One of our delightful FHE treats. I recommend it.

Family movie night. I think we watched Aladdin.

I always wait and wait to post and then they just add up. I just spent about an hour figuring out all my pictures and deleting the 69 that Jack had taken on my camera. They were good shots, let me tell you. I'll spare you the details. Anyway, I can't believe that June is on the way out. A few things about June 2009:

I can't believe that Michael Jackson DIED!! I am more upset about that then I should be.

I can't believe that Jillian is keeping Wes around. She is so stupid! Is anyone else watching?? I really thought I wouldn't be sucked in again, but what can I say?? Those guys are cuties! I do like Jillian, but she is a dummy for keeping Wes around.

I can't believe that we got so much rain this month and I loved it! Seriously, so much rain.

I can't believe how big Jack is getting... He turns three in one week. :( Sob.

Anyway, that pretty much sums up the month. We have had a lot of fun: movies nights, Lagoon (more in a minute), the zoo and good desserts. Looking forward to July and the POOL!

The Hunt's are Out of High School!

The Grad!

Jack looking cute!

The original four!

It is so crazy to say, but my little bro graduated from high school yesterday! It is really strange to have all of us out of Murray. Kind of sad. The graduation was a lot of fun. We did the ceremony and then hit Olive Garden and went and saw "UP". The ceremony brought back lots of memories ( and Jack was really good) and the movie was so good. I love my brother and am so proud of the awesome guy he is. I love my whole fam! We have a lot of fun together. Congrats Jon! Looking forward to the great years ahead!

Summer Thunderstorms

This week has been really great if you love summer rain storms and it just so happens that I do! I wish that they would even last longer than one night! Last night, Jason was out trimming our hedges and the rain came so quick. He was running inside and Jack and I were waiting at the door and so he grabbed Jack and took him dancing in the rain. It was so cute! I hope that we have many more of those nights. We also took the opportunity to talk to Jack about Heavenly Father and rain and such... it was FHE ya know. It was a fun night.

Favorite Pastime!

Jack is obsessed with "driving" the car lately. I don't know how it got started. He wants to unlock the doors and put the key into the ignition EVERY single time we get in the car. He also likes to play in the car while it is in the garage (no keys around, don't worry). We left him out there the other night and when Jason went to check on him, this was what he saw! So cute!

Lake Powell!

He wants to drive everything he sees.

Hiking around with Dad, while Mom reads.

The one redeeming thing during the weekend!!
Doesn't that look delish, and healthy, right??

Does it look like boating weather?? Nope.

We went to Lake Powell over Memorial Day. Jack's first time. Basically, my first time since the last time we went was three years ago and I was pregnant. No fun at all. This time was pretty fun, but there were a few downers to the weekend.

1-- RAIN! I didn't know that Lake Powell ever got rain. They probably don't but of course they get a monsoon on the one weekend we are there. We were driving down, almost there, and were stopped by water just gushing into the roads. It was the craziest thing. It rained most of the day on Saturday, but by Sunday we were sitting pretty.

2-- HOTEL! What a RIP! We won't stay there again. Because they are in such a remote location, they charge you for the rooms up front. It was basically an arm and a leg... but, we paid for the stay and went to dinner and got talking with Jason's parents. Because of the weather, we lost a good portion of our group and there was now room in their room. So, we thought... Hey, save the money, split the room, we should check out. We tried and failed. They said that we could check out but that they are keeping our money. So, we stayed in the room because all of my fighting with them wouldn't change their minds. I think it is basically stealing money from the consumer! They should have a flat fee for cancellations but they shouldn't charge you the full thing! It was a joke. So, take a lesson and never stay at the hotel in Bullfrog.

Overall, the weekend was fun. Jack had an absolute ball and loved everything from the hotel to the boat. He looooved the boat and has been asking to go on it the whole time we have been home. It was nice to get away and relax a little. I read some good books (about Henry 8th, who was a PIG) and it was nice to see Jason for more then 3 hours during the day. Thanks to Brad and Cindy for the trip and we can't wait to do it again. But, we will stay somewhere else.

Happy Birthday to My Hubby!

Jason and his buddy.

The Cake!

Jason's bday was a couple of weeks ago. The big 3-2! I am ashamed to say that the day passed without much hoopla. It was on a Sunday, so not much fun, but we were able to get in a movie on Friday night, State of Play. That was a treat. We used to go to movies every single weekend, but Jack has put a stop to that (not to mention lack of funds), so when we do get to go to a movie it is with happy hearts and empty stomachs since I now will always get popcorn and lots of salt since it is only about every 2-3 months we get to go. The movie was very good, highly recommended from us. On Saturday, I can't really remember what we did... OH YEAH!! My sweetie of a hubby installed sprinklers in our yard (more on that later...). On Sunday, we will able to get together with family and eat lots of good food.

I have say, I have been cooking more lately and so for Jason's bday I ventured out and made him a banana cake! I think it was tasty, Jason said it was, but I didn't know if I liked that much banana, but anything with vanilla frosting is a go in my book.

I love my hubby very much. I knew from the moment I saw him that he was someone special and that he would be mine. I'm so thankful for him and all that he does for me. Happy belated bday, babe!
