Easter Clothes
I love having kids to dress up for Easter Sunday. General Conference is this Easter so I dressed the kiddies up last week. They looked adorable!! We are off to St. George next weekend. Can't wait!!
This Girl
Look at how chubby!
Secret handshake.
I love this girl so much. She is the dreamiest baby ever. Jack was a good baby too. I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but she is perfect! I have the best kiddies. She starting smiling at 7 weeks. It started with one sporadic smile and now she pretty much does it anytime you look at her. She also has started sleeping almost through the night. Last night, she was in bed at 9pm and slept until almost 4am. It is fabulous!! She never cries unless hungry or sleepy and she loves to be held and rocked. Jack loves her to death and I really can't wait until she really starts reacting to him. All of his friends love her, especially his friend Coleman. He even made up a secret best friend handshake. :) I took her to the doc last week and she is growing like a weed. She was 10.8lbs, 22.5 inches. That is the 50% for both. Now that I feel like things are getting back to normal, I am relaxing and really enjoying this baby time. I am excited to watch her learn and grow a whole lot more over the next year.
St. Pattys Day
Holidays this year are such fun. Mostly, because of Jack's preschool. He has loved preschool this year and his teacher always makes the holidays special. For St. Pattys day, leprechauns came to his school and knocked over chairs and left candy. He was so excited when he came home. At our house, they did the same thing and you would have thought it was Christmas morning. He woke up and found gold coins in his room, all down the stairs, in Savannah's bed and all over the floor. He saw the chairs knocked over and said, "I knew those leprechauns were naughty." He found a few hats around as well, but those sneaky guys got out of our trap once again. He loved having green milk and eggs for breakfast and wearing green all day. It is nice to have a special day to mix it up now and then.
Love This Boy
His hair curled.
Hot face.
Jack is turning into the cutest three year old around. I am really feeling like I am in the midst of one of the greatest times in my life. He is such a big help to me and although I find myself losing patience with him (more than before Savannah came), he takes everything in stride and nothing really ever gets to him. I finally feel like I am finding my groove with two kids and having a family of four is so much fun. Lately, Jack has kept us laughing by:
-- Asking us to "curl" his hair like Peter Parker (aka Spiderman).
-- Coming in from outside with his "hot face." He said to me... "Mom, I'm so hot. I need a drink." While making the above face. It was priceless. Now I make him do it on command.
-- Saying he is going to marry Savannah in the temple.
-- He is brave enough to do things by himself, so he says.
-- He doesn't like my hair in a ponytail and when I told him that I need it in a ponytail to keep my hair out of my face he said, "You can just do this," and then he shook out his head like a valley girl.
-- Turning into every super hero known to man...
-- Passing off the first and second Articles of Faith.
-- All his poems from school and songs from church.
-- Getting his timing mixed up... he gets confused when saying "last night, next week, last year..." etc.
-- Using phrases like, "After all..."
-- Praying by himself.
And a million more things. I really have to start blogging more so I don't forget the funny things he says. He cracks me up. Ever since I had Savannah, he has seemed like such a little man. I love everything about him and watching him grow up gets better by the day.
